The Dalmatian Coast packs over a thousand islands into a short, sheltered stretch — which is exactly why it suits a crewed week. Short hops between old-town harbours, national-park anchorages and hidden swimming coves, with calm seas most of the season.

Croatia is our home water, and it is the easiest introduction to crewed chartering in the Mediterranean. Distances are tiny — an hour or two between islands — the Adriatic is warm and mostly windless through high summer, and every anchorage seems to have a Roman ruin, a Venetian bell-tower or a family-run konoba a tender-ride away. You are never committing to a long passage, so the week bends around what you feel like: a lively night in Hvar town, then two days of near-total silence in the Kornati.

It is also unusually good value for the Med, with a large local fleet of both motor yachts and traditional gulets. Most charters start in Split or Dubrovnik; from either you can build a loop through Vis, Korčula, Mljet and the Pakleni islands without ever backtracking. Because our brokers are based here, the local knowledge — which bay to take for a north wind, which restaurant to book, where the crowds aren't — is first-hand rather than second-guessed.

One way to spend a week — your captain tailors the exact route to the weather, your pace and what you want to see. It is a starting point, not a fixed schedule.

A walled 'little Dubrovnik' and the wine villages of Pelješac opposite.
Day 5Mljet
A national park of forest and two saltwater lakes — swim, cycle, unwind.
Day 6Dubrovnik
Anchor off the Old Town and walk the medieval walls at golden hour.
Day 7Return
A final Elaphiti-island swim before disembarking, or a one-way finish in Dubrovnik.
